OUTDOOR KITCHEN & BAR DESIGN -SADDLE RIVER NJ

The homeowners described their dream backyard as a vacation destination, the kind of place in which a whole family could spend time together. Because the homeowners wanted to be able to entertain guests in their new backyard, we had to design a space that would be comfortable for a family of four people but large enough to accommodate several parties of fifty or more. The main challenge was incorporating all of the aspects desired by the clients while remaining within the stringent lot coverage specifications of the Saddle River zoning department. At the same time, we also wanted to make sure there would be enough room to play on the swing set or to throw the baseball around in the grass.

• Brick finish on the outdoor kitchen, bar and grill with accents to match the window and chimney details.
• Precast limestone water table and balusters
• 2” Honed Bluestone countertop with bull-nosed edge on the outdoor kitchen & bar

• Wood Pergola with built-in audio system and custom retractable fabric awning

Landscape and Masonry Features:

• Brick walls & staircase with precast limestone caps surrounding the new outdoor dinning area
• Natural Bluestone patio on a engineered slab with built-in drainage system
• Low voltage lighting built into the outdoor kitchen, bar & masonry structures
• Renovated existing grill with finishes to match the new outdoor kitchen & bar
• Lush gardens with colorful plants surround the swimming pool & outdoor bar area to add layering and depth to the landscaping
• Storm water management and containment

This property had an existing pool, but was lacking ample space to entertain guests; the outdoor living space was also lacking sufficient shade for relief from the summer sun. The space was designed to have two full service bars with a decorative pergola above for shade. Guests can get a cold drink at the curved serving bar during parties and take a seat on the seatwall while enjoying conversation with other guests. We created a full-service outdoor kitchen & bar, including two sinks, a refrigerator, an icemaker, an outdoor television and a sound system. We also renovated the existing grill to match the new design. The result is a beautiful full-service outdoor kitchen and bar on the patio. As with all Cipriano products, no detail was overlooked. Everything, including the pre-cast profiles, the brick accents, the patio stone, and the tile selection, was chosen specifically to create a beautiful backyard landscape and add to the functionality of the project. The finished product is a luxurious and inviting space, perfect for outdoor entertaining.
